***This listing is for one 4oz, 8oz, or 16oz bag of salt***
This salt is the best sea salt I've found. It's raw and unrefined, sourced from the Baja coast. It has one of the highest mineral contents of any salt available, with 24% of its weight being trace minerals other than sodium chloride in table salt. This is roughly 8x higher mineral content than other salts like pink Himalayan salt, and is even higher than Celtic sea salt which is often considered the gold standard.
The salt is collected from a coastline with thousands of years of volcanic and deep thermal vent activity. The isolated area means there's much less commercial activity nearby and the waters are cleaner.
29.9% Sodium 1.32% Magnesium 0.38% Calcium
0.99% Sulfur 0.95% Potassium 24% Trace minerals
Total: 76% Sodium Chloride
The mineral content of the salt gives it a much richer flavor than most salts used. For this reason it's excellent for cooking, and a small amount can even be added to garden soil to increase its mineral levels. I also enjoy adding a pinch of it to water as an electrolyte boost. This is by far my favorite salt and I'm pleased to be able to offer it here.
Note: The high magnesium content of this salt means that it holds more water than other low-mineral salts, so it may clump together. This isn't harmful in any way, just break up any clumps before use as needed.
